Since 1996, Down To Earth, LLC and Arthur Bogen, President, have been dedicated to helping support municipal, state, federal and private programs to redevelop Connecticut’s many brownfield sites. More than $17,000,000 in grant funding has been arranged with the assistance of Down To Earth which has been applied to help communities assess and cleanup brownfields
Arthur Bogen is pleased to announce a change in ownership. Based on a desire to put his full energy and focus into the Connecticut Brownfield Land Bank, Down To Earth’s ownership has changed from Arthur Bogen to Tim Carr, a Connecticut Licensed Environmental Professional.
Under the new ownership, the tradition will continue but with an emphasis on also providing geoenvironmental solutions to restoring the area’s brownfields. Down To Earth will continue Arthur’s legacy of providing strategic analysis of sites and grant application support but will also provide additional technical services such as preparation of Phase I, II, III environmental site assessments as well as consulting services related to brownfield cleanups and beneficial reuse.
Arthur and Tim have worked together in support of each other’s brownfield redevelopment efforts for almost 20 years. We believe that this transition will allow the Connecticut Brownfield Land Bank, Inc. to achieve its goals of facilitating brownfield redevelopment on behalf of municipalities and also to keep the success and legacy of Down To Earth which has provided for positive change for the environment. The sale is effective January 17, 2017. Mr. Bogen will provide some strategic input on projects into the first quarter of 2017.
