Retaining Walls and Temporary Excavation Support Systems
Retaining walls resist lateral earth and water pressures and allow for desired grade changes where a slope is not possible and/or desired. Retaining walls may also be used for drainage improvement, erosion control, flood protection, and aesthetics. Temporary retaining walls (or excavation support systems) are often used to protect sensitive structures and areas during underground construction.
Our engineers have extensive experience in all aspects of permanent and temporary retaining wall design and construction. We work with our clients to develop innovative and practical solutions to their earth retention challenges.
